After watching the fountain show, I followed the wave of tourists going inside the Bellagio Hotel.
It was late at night, like 11 pm. I had no intention to go all the way to the hotel lobby but I just wanted to walk for a short while, naglilibang lang ako.
A short walk from the side entrance is the Louis Vuitton boutique. I didn’t want to enter because I was only wearing tsinelas.
I’ve seen many cheaper brands in the past with this style. Are they running out of ideas? Prada also has something similar.
I spotted that black top handle at the topmost shelf. I haven’t seen that style before. A young LV sales staff saw me and invited me to see it. Nakaw naka tsinelas lang nga ako. Sige na nga. I entered the boutique. She showed me two more color variations which I didn’t like. also, I was looking for a smaller bag kasi hirap na nga ako pagmabigat. It looked smaller from afar but it’s actually a little hefty up-close. It’s a little formal, more of a pang-office, pang attend ng meeting style but not a casual / travel bag. It’s $3,100 yata plus tax approximately $3,400. I saw another style, smaller, but the price was higher, $3,500 + tax so it would come out shy of $4,000.
I spent the next half hour having a good chat with the cute LV staff. She looks like a doll. She told me she’s been living in Las Vegas for 8 years. She used to work at the LV store in Roseville, Sacramento but was transferred to the new Crystal Shops in Las Vegas. She stayed since, and her parents retired and moved to Vegas with her, and they are loving it here.
She said she’s Korean, adopted by a Portuguese / American couple. They have one biological daughter. The couple first adopted a Korean baby boy 29 years ago and who has recently finished his PhD in medicine.
I forgot her name but I am sure we’re going to see each other again next time I visited this city. She’s so cute talaga like a doll. She likes to travel and has an impressive list of countries she had visited.
From the LV store, I walked some more and somewhere to the right was the Chanel store. I suddenly remembered that I needed a shawl. I decided not to enter after I saw the customers wearing long dresses. There was a really tall woman who just came out of the store looking like she was going to attend a formal party. Ayaw kong pumasok. Mukha akong muchacha nila.
Bukas I will go back, still in tsinelas.
A few more steps, I reached where the watches were. Oh oh. I was walking by when I spotted a white ladies watch displayed at Breguet’s window display. I stood there for maybe 20 seconds admiring the lovely watch. I stepped back, walked backwards, walked back again. Nice sya talaga. Eto na, basta pag-usyoso ng relo hindi ko mapigilan. Naka tsinelas nga ako kaya ayaw kong pumasok. Obvious na usi lang.
Wala I couldn’t control my curiosity. I entered na rin. I asked a presidential-looking guy who greeted me. “Hi, I just want to know how much is the white watch….”
Guy—“I am the security..”
The manager probably saw me from his room and he came out. I asked the same question. “Come show me” he said.
A—“Oh no I don’t want to try it on, I just want to know the price”.
Manager—–“Take a look”.
ayaw papigil gusto talagang ipakita sa akin. Naka tsinelas nga lang ako. Nahihiya ako. At saka hindi naman ako bibili.
When we were in Honolulu a few years ago, I spent a great deal of time at a watch store across the hotel. They have a small glass cabinet for Breguet watches. Balik ako ng balik, hila-hila ko pa si Oyen, Nyke and Edmund.
Breguet is a Swiss manufacturer of luxury watches, founded by Abraham-Louis Breguet in Paris in 1775. Its timepieces are now produced in the Vallée de Joux in Switzerland.
Sige na nga, usyosohin na natin.
Oh my I like this. I tried it on, pretty sya ha. I gave it back to him but he didn’t want to let go of me. He borrowed my watch and started cleaning it. I told him my watch is old. He asked what other watches I have.
The Breguet boutique manager said that there are only three collectible watches in the world:
1. Patek Philippe
2. Vacheron Constantin
3. Breguet
My friend I was talking about the other day who reads my blog too everyday has three kilos of Patek Philippe watches. I’ve seen him wearing Breguet but I don’t know if he has Vacheron Constantin. I am sure he does but I haven’t seen him wearing it. Sa bagay I only get to visit his office twice a year.
Paalis na ako when the manager called his female Asian assistant. They have a rose gold version daw of this Marine. Nay ko, ayaw talaga ako pakawalan.
He was the one who encouraged me to take pictures. Ala baka mapasubo tayo.
Oh wow, I like the gold one better. It’s yellow not rose gold.
Mas mahal sa America kasi plus tax pa. Sa Europe merong tax refund. Pero ang layo naman ng Europe.
He said they only give a maximum of 5% discount but he will give me extra straps whatever color I like. Libre na daw yun. Mahal din kasi ang strap. Patek Philippe’s leather straps are $500 each.
Pwede kayang strap na lang bilhin ko tapos libre yung watch. Ano sinuswerte?
OMB bagay na bagay. He he he kailan na nga ba birthday ko? 70th? Masyado namang matagal, hindi ko na makikita yung oras.
Wait, I think I don’t need a new watch. I need lotion!! Mas mura pa. Ang tamad kong magpahid ng lotion eh dry na dry dito sa Las Vegas.
They close at midnight. I left the store at 10 minutes to midnight. Time to walk back to my hotel. Bye Breguet.
Ms. Annie, the watch looks so good on you!!
Thank you Brazo de Mercdes.
