Mexican Dress - Oh My Buhay

March 2, 2020

I came from Sally’s when I noticed some colorful dresses hanging outside the store next door. I stopped to look. The colors were so vibrant and happy.
With the gloominess brought about by the coronavirus, I needed something to perk me up. I went inside the store to browse. The store’s owner is a Mexican lady and all her merchandise are made in Mexico.

Mexican

I was looking for a blouse or a dress that has fewer embroideries or fewer colors but everything in this store was multicolored

I picked this black dress. Pwedeng daster, pwedeng pang partyn pwedeng pang-office, pwedeng pampasyal, pwede kahit saan.

Me—-“Cuanta?”
Owner—–“cincuenta dolares”
Me—-“Hecho en Mejico?”
Owner—–“Si”

I tried it on and it was so comfortable, a little loose pero masarap isuot, parang daster.

When she saw me wearing the dress, natuwa sya, bagay daw sa akin. she said “descuento cuarenta y cinco dolares no tax”.

Manghuhula rin pala sya, pwede kang magpahula.

Manghuhula
I didn’t know that Mexican’s consider “death” as santo.
