Miles of walking at SEMA 2016

Nov 3, 2016

It’s been a while since I last attended the annual SEMA show held at the Las Vegas Convention Center. Edmund and I had attended this premier auto show three times in a row some 15 years ago.

Buyers and sellers from all over the world congregate here to expand their markets and introduce new products. Every year the show gets bigger and better. It now occupies several buildings so Aileen and I walked miles from hall to hall. There are also short seminars, product demonstrations, and networking opportunities in the auto parts, tools, equipment and accessories industry.

This is a male-dominated industry. Except for booth attendants, sales executives, receptionists, promo girls, majority of exhibitors and buyers were male.

After two hours of standing and walking, all I could think of was to have a foot and leg deep tissue massage. tsema 020

Ford Motors Company occupied the biggest area which could be more than 3,000 square meters or more. The vehicles they brought there were all impressive.
