I did not go to the office today. There were many things to do outside of work because I had to prepare a good dinner for a very special guest.
So
1. I went to Shangril-la Mall at 10:30am.
2. I bought snowflakes soap from Lush. I received a slice from my daughter on Christmas Day and I’ve been using that soap ever since kaya mabilis naubos. It’s good they gave me a 50% discount.
3. I bought a lot of goodies from Healthy Options. I had them arranged the items in a wooden crate including one red French wine and one white. I would give this to our guest.
4. I bought the latest CD of Journey with Arnel Pineda as the lead singer from Astro Vision.
5. From Shangri-la, I hurriedly went to Farmers Market in Cubao. I bought few kilos of King Crabs, King Prawns, lanzones, mangosteen and kaimito.
6. I brought the items home, gave instructions to Cherry, our cook, set-up the dining table, set-up the buffet table, etc.
7. I went to Santi’s and bought a slice of gruyere cheese, brie, garlic cheese, and one big box of Twinings of London teas to be given to our guest for tonight.
8. I went home and continued setting-up the buffet and dining table. By 4 pm I was extremely tired. I wanted to go to Galleria to look for Arnel Pineda’s concert CD but I just had no more energy. I laid down for an hour but for some reason it did not relax me. I wanted to take a nap but our guest is coming at 6:30pm , baka makatulog ako.
9. I received a text from our guest saying that they would be here at 7 pm instead of 6:30 pm . That’s fine, It gave me an extra half-hour to relax.
10. I took a shower at 5 pm and by 6:20 I was ready and waiting for our guest. I sent our driver Tony to the village gate to “salubong” our guest. Also to guide them so they won’t get lost looking for our house.
11. Our guest texted me that’s it’s a little traffic. They finally arrived at 7:15 pm.
Welcome to our humble abode!
Arnel Pineda was with his wife Cherry, his manager named Cherry also, his cute 6-year old son named Cherub and 16 year-old step-daughter named Justice. They are expecting another baby in July.
Dinner was very relaxed. We had no other guests but them. We ate casually and comfortably. We ate a lot of crabs and to make Arnel’s wife more comfortable, I also ate with my bare hands which I loved.
They liked the gulaman sago, manggang hilaw and alamang. Arnel liked the fresh fried tilapia from Binangonan.
The only glitch was there were three of them named Cherry. Everytime I would call our cook Cherry, Arnel’s wife Cherry and his manager Cherry thought I was calling them too.
Arnel Pineda is a very kind, sweet and humble guy. He’s easy to entertain. My family and I found him to be really really nice. We’re glad he brought along his family.
I will post photos tomorrow. I am so tired, 3 dinner parties in a row. Good night.
