North Korean Missile - Oh My Buhay

North Korean Missile

Today’s newspaper headline was about the North Korean Missile launch. Oh no, not again!

North Korea- oh my buhay

What did they say two weeks ago?

manila Bulletin- oh my buhay

Don’t Panic, Pray …

Philippines- oh my buhay

It was 7 pm, I just came home and went straight to my bathroom to wash-up, then all of a sudden, there was a very loud crash. It sounded like a large steel or metal has crashed on our roof deck.
Edmund—– What’s that? ‘TArt… What’s that sound? Did you hear that?
Me——– Ya, I don’t know, parang bakal, ang lakas.
Edmund — Baka missile ng North Korea?
He went up to the roof to check, wala naman, there was nothing.

If that was the real North Korean rocket landing on our roof, Edmund and I wouldn’t have that kind of conversation. We would have instantly vanished into oblivion.

When Japan was readying their surface-to-air missiles to shoot down any possible rocket that would enter their territory, we poor human beings baptized as Filipinos could only “not panic, pray only, cover our heads with pots and pans, duck and hide”. Poor we, that’s why we are being bullied.
