A regular oh my buhay reader, Dina, sent me a message after reading my post about our dirty kitchen renovation. She’s an interior designer pala and a fit-out contractor. She’s so kind and sweet- offering her services for free. Nakakahiya naman. I don’t want to bother her.
Edmund and I built our house and offices with no interior designer. Kami lang, turo-turo, parang nasanay na kami. Dina was laughing at me when I told her how we do things. Being a professional, she couldn’t imagine how we could build something from scratch and without any scaled drawings and plans.

Tingin ko lang magaling si Dina. She’s from UP. I’ve seen also some of her works in photo, maayos.

Still, I met up with her at Home Depot in Julia Vargas. The first thing she said upon seeing me in person was “ang payat mo pala at ang pretty mo”. She told me she reads oh my buhay every single day. Thanks Dina!

Dina does so many fit-outs for condo units. She currently has four projects kaya she’s always sourcing for finishing materials at Home Depot.

I showed her the floor tiles that’s already installed on our flooring, the lights that I have chosen and other things. Then, syempre, the most important thing, is kain. Although I go to that area all the time, I never ate in any of the restaurants there. It’s her second home daw kaya she’s more familiar with the restos there.

We went to North Park. My first time. Dina’s many times.
Masarap pa la dun, at mura pa, at ang dami ng portions.

Chili prawns, not spicy.
Prawns with chili

Beef with broccoli. Why put extra letters C and O if the pronunciation is really brokli?

White chicken is overcooked for my standard but tastes okay.

After two days, Edmund and I went to Home Depot too and we ate na lang din in North Park.
Our family’s first.
Edmund—— Galing ka na dyan di ba? Sige, dyan na lang.

Edmund liked the place too. The seats are comfortable, the tables are low and wide.

Look at this. This is good for 4 people, tila P300 lang or less.

I didn’t taste their pork siomai.

We couldn’t finish our food kaya meron pang take-out.

Upon seeing the bill (P650.00), Edmund exclaimed “mura!”
