OFFICIAL VISIT

It is of utmost importance  that our President visits Japan at least once during his term as President.  This country is one of our top trading partners and  one of the first countries that always help us in times of calamities.

President Aquino’s trip to Japan was  an “Official Working Visit“.  This is different from a STATE VISIT.   I think one of the differences is that in a State Visit,  the head of the foreign country hosts a STATE BANQUET in honor of the visiting Head of State.  A State Visit requires a lot more preparation and coordination between the two countries.  Our recent trip to China was a State Visit.

  1. Hi Annie, I like your blog. We were at the same table during lunch tendered in honor of PNoy. If I remember correctly, the Japanese between you and Mayor Karen (I was to Mayor Karen’s right) was a Marubeni President. I will confirm. Standing were Alvin R. my husband and Mike T. FYI, we went around China Town in Yokohama the day you left for Manila. Luckily, we bumped into two Sumo Wrestlers and had some photo ops. I will email you the photo Talking about luck… he he he. We stayed on until Friday and took the same flight as Francis L. and Tommy A.
