OKADA Hotel and Casino, Manila

February 16, 2018

My daughter and husband had been to The Okada Manila last month when they attended a party for auto dealers hosted by East West Bank.

My daughter wanted me to see the newest casino hotel in town so she booked a table for four at the Red spice restaurant in Okada for Chinese New Year.

Although I am used to seeing grand hotels and casinos in Las Vegas, Oyen said Okada is nice too.

My husband said OKADA is comparable to the casino resort hotels in Las Vegas.

The lobby is pink and red and made even more colorful with the presence of Chinese New Year dragons, etc.

Pink is the dominant color.

I like the posts that look like draperies.

Large hallway leading to the shops restaurants. I didn’t occur to me that we would do a lot of walking, my feet hurt from the step-in.

I made the mistake of wearing this maroon step-in. I couldn’t walk far because my feet were so painful. For some reason, these sandals were old and I had used them many times in the past and my feet didn’t hurt. It’s either the leather had shrunk from being stored in the hot cabinet for a year and / or my feet had grown fatter the past year.

I wanted to take off my sandals and just walk on this shiny floors barefooted.

My husband was wearing a red shirt, syempre Chinese Yew Year. Ako hindi, kasi my red dresses are all masikip na.

The place is huge, we stopped twice to ask for direction to the restaurant.
The first person we asked was a female security personnel standing along the hallway. Edmund found her hindi bagay to be a security guard. “Tingnan mo yan, parang hindi naman security guard, parang labandera”.
