Benjie Yukimtiao is hosting a surprise 10th wedding aniversary dinner for his wife Evelyn at the China Room, Circles, Makati Shangri-La.
Edmund told me the dinner invitation was at 6:30 pm. Since it’s a friday. we skipped some of the things we wanted to do and instead headed home, changed and left for Makati because we wanted to make sure we’re on time. We both agreed that we didn’t want to be caught in the friday traffic jam.
We were the very first to arrive at Circles, the buffet restaurant located on the ground floor of the hotel.
Not a single soul, yun pala kasi the reservation was at 7:30 pm and not at 6:30 pm as Edmund had thought.
We didn’t want to sit there so we waited at the lobby lounge.

We just couldn’t sit without ordering anything, so Edmund had a beer and with hesitation, I ordered fresh watermelon shake. I was worried the juice would stave off my appetite.
