I wanted to watch the movie of Julia Roberts titled Wonder but it’s not showing yet. I looked at alternative movies and checked their ratings and I found Only the Brave with 4 star rating. It stars Jeff Bridges, Josh Brolin, Jennifer Connelly, Andie MacDowell, Miles Teller, Taylor Kitsch, etc.
The movie is about a group of firefighters called Granite Mountain Hot Shots who risked their lives to protect their communities. I thought the timing is very uncanny, with the Santa Rosa and Napa Valley fires that just happened recently.
$10 a ticket. Where’s everybody? The title of the movie is Only the Brave. It’s very apt, only the brave watches a movie alone. I always looked at the entrance in case some crazy dude comes. I relaxed when I saw the cleaner, she remained there at the hallway.
The movie is indeed worthy of the 4 star rating. It’s based on a true story.
Downside: It has a sad ending. They all died except one. The names and photos of each of the firefighters who died were shown on the screen during the credits. The youngest was 21, two of them. Their ages were mostly in the 20s.
It’s been several hours since I left the theater yet I still feel sad.
