Parting Words with China

I quote some of President Duterte’s parting words in China, announced during his speeches in Beijing: They sounded like parting words with America.

US visa
“Filipinos with money are humiliated at the consular offices in Dewey (referring to Roxas Blvd). Americans, you have to get a visa from where you came from”.

(Hayan kasi, ang hirap kumuha ng visa sa US Embassy).

US & EU
“How can they become the most powerful country when they owe China 30 trillion dollars. US has no money and they are afflicted with paranoia. EU is in shambles. They could not even help Greece and other countries.

Both oriental:
“Duterte of the Philippines is very much for China. Because China is oriental”.

On borrowing money from China:
“I am inclined to borrow money from China because they are not eager to collect, sometimes they will forget and not collect. Chinese are sincere and compassionate.

(I agree that SOME Chinese individuals are sincere and compassionate. I also agree that some are not eager to collect money borrowed from them and sometimes they will even forget. I am a perfect example. I very well remember how much I owe, but I lose track of debts owed to me by other people. But China, as a government, will not condone or forget debts owed to them. Ah ah, I don’t think so).

And his now infamous parting words with the Americans:

“In this venue, I announce my separation from the US”.

(The president was very clear with his words. He announced HIS separation from the US and not OURS. He said I not WE).
