Phantom of the Opera

I say that Phantom of the Opera is the best opera show on earth and it’s also my favorite. With no intention to brag, I have seen it several times. First time was in London, by myself. I was able to get a matinee ticket 3rd row from the stage and in the center. There was a young couple necking and exchanging kisses with slurping sound on the 2nd row right in front of me. I was so distracted, I didn’t know where to look. My seatmates who were all in their 70s also stared at them. I didn’t finish the opera because I got so dizzy looking back and forth at the actors on stage and the French-kissing couple. I had to go back to my hotel because I had a terrible migraine attack.

Second time was in San Francisco with Edmund. Nagbaka-sakali lang kami, pero swerte, we were able to get good seats.
Third time, I was by my self again in London.
Fourth time- with my family in London
Fifth time- with a friend in Broadway. Then President Erap Estrada had a working visit in New York, we had a half- day free time so we bought tickets from the The Plaza hotel’s concierge. Unfortunately because of jet lag, I fell asleep through out the show. Sixth time—- I don’t remember where and with whom.

I have also read the book a couple of times and has seen the movie two times.

Phantom of the Opera- oh my buhay

We bought four tickets last Sunday. I needed either Julienne or Edmund because they both have a Citibank Card that enjoys a 10% discount on the tickets. When we were choosing for the date, Edmund was surprised na sa August pa pala yun. He thought it would be next month.

Phantom of the Opera- oh my buhay

I was relieved we already have the tickets.
Me——– Meron na tayong tickets. Sobrang advance.
Edmund—- Hindi advance ang tawag dyan, Sobrang ATAT!
