A lot of photo-ops followed after the mass even if we were all sweaty and haggard looking from the terrible heat and humidity. Pag sticky dapat no-more-beso-beso, kasi nagkaka dikit-dikit ang pisngi. Ang lagkit. When the mass ended, everyone clapped their hands, Dyos ko, yung palad ko pagnag dikit, parang ayaw maghiwalay, ganun ka lagkit.
The minute the mass ended, I left my seat and ran to the altar. Even if the young sacristans were looking at me with disdain I still shamelessly posed beside the Sacred Heart of Jesus. Edmund was my cameraman.
120 year old Nuestra Senora de las Angeles, patron saint of Pila-pila and best friend of my mother Ka Felicing, tubong Pila-pila.
Sticky Edmund and Sticky me, hindi halata na pawis na kami
Kailangan pag dating ko ng 75 and up ganyan din ako kaganda like Mrs. Vilma Duavit. She told me “anak ka nga ni Felicing, Ang ganda-ganda ni Felicing, kaya ang ganda-ganda mo”. Salamat po.
Dra. Rose Callanta-Ynares and Mayor Cesar Ynares
Kahit mukha kaming nagbuhat ng giwang-giwang sa pawis eh ang hilig pa rin sa photo-ops.
____, Rhodora Aramil, Rose Callanta-Ynares, Matet Maycacayan-Gavino, Annie C. Tan-Yee, Girlie Patag-Mejorada, and Girlie Austria-Flores
With Girlie and Girlie. The other Girlie has been working for the BIR all her adult life.
She’s now assigned in Pasay (I think).
I didn’t realize we had so many photos, nawala na yung church, puro kami na lang.
Pawis beauties—Babyruth, Girlie, Rose, Rhodora, Matet, Girlie uli, and me uli.
Humulas na ang make-up ko sa pawis, para akong na embalsamo. Despite perspiring like I have never perspired before, I am grateful to be here and I feel so very blessed to have been a part of this undertaking.
Viva Pila-pila! Viva Nuestra Senora de las Angeles! Viva Annie Me!
