Rex Navarette

Julienne and I watched Rex Navarette’s performance at the Newport Performing Arts.
I bought two tickets on the same day he’s performing. I forgot how much I paid for our tickets but we were at the center and 3 rows from the stage, close enough that I could see the creases on his maong. The seats were wide, comfortable and luxurious.

This is the 3rd time I am seeing Rex. Julienne saw him performing in a comedy club in New York.

Rex is hilarious but a lot of his spiels are old, like his mother driving in the carpool (I am very careful), the Santo Nino statue, and the peculiar Pinoy traditions. His new materials about Manny Pacquiao brought the house down, Manny singing “sometimes wen we tats, the anesty too mats,  his impersonation of how coach Freddie Roach talks, Manny’s assistant Buboy, etc.
