Rey’s life was featured in Balitang K. His rags to riches life is a good movie material. From being a magsasaka sa probinsya Rey is now super milyonaryo.
Rey and I were classmates and despite his success, he has not forgotten me and our other classmates.
He has remained humble and approachable. he celebrates his birthday every year and year after year, his party becomes grander and fancier. He has lots of friends because he is very active in many business and civic organizations. His idol is Manny Villar who helped him in his construction business when he was just a sub-contractor of Manny Villar. I won’t be surprised if one day, Rey Carpio would be as successful and as wealthy as Senator Manny Villar.
Rey Carpio invited me to his 50th birthday celebration. I did not want to be too formal so I chose this borderline casual and cocktail dress. I’ve worn this once a few months ago. I was actually not sure to go because I had no energy, so I wanted to be as comfortable as possible.

Jojo Alejar was the party’s emcee, He and Rey are the best of friends and co-hosts in Jojo Alejar’s “Medyo Late Night Show at TV5.
Jojo Alejar composed a birthday song for Rey.
