Although I know exactly where Timog Avenue is, it’s not my watering hole. I haven’t been to any of the bars in the area. When my son tells me he and friends are going to Timog, I always feel uncomfortable and anxious. Feeling ko maraming mga lasing sa kalye at magulo sa bar.
On February 14, we went to Rockville, the bar and restaurant owned by Arnel Pineda. I must admit that I had low expectations because of my pre-conceived notion about Timog. I was very surprised that it was beyond what I have imagined.
First, Rockville‘s location was along the main road, Timog Avenue. Secondly, coming from EDSA, it was just before the Rotonda, which makes the location more ideal because it’s not deep into Timog or Quezon City.
Thirdly, Rockville is decent, comfortable, the decors are tasteful, the equipments are first class. The way it was set -up was well thought off. I was quite impressed.
We arrived an hour earlier so I made usyoso and went up to the second floor. I didn’t know that Arnel and family were there resting. He saw me and asked how I found the place. I answered ” it’s very nice, Mr. Yee & I were impressed”.
The toilets are airconditioned, clean and nice.
Fourthly, their menu has an impressive list of delicious stuff at reasonable prices. Imagine, there were 10 of us, we ordered 3 mango shakes one mango juice, 4 cokes, a bucket of San Mig Lite, 2 salt and pepper squid, chicken teriyaki rice bowl, nachos supreme, two cups of rice, sisig, etc. Edmund paid P2,300 only. Honestly, I don’t mind coming back here to eat dinner.
It was cool to finally meet you in person. I mentioned that we posted your blog in Arnel’s official site – the fans are enjoying reading your thoughts. My apologies that we ended NOT exchanging contact numbers; nagkagulo na when Arnel left the stage. I had to tell your daughter he was just changing shirts and doing a meet and greet right after! Anyway, glad you found Arnel and we’re glad your daughter tweeted about the dinner because now we found your blog site! ♥♥
