I dropped-off several boxes of clothing at the San Carlos Seminary in Guadalupe last thursday morning for the Sendong flood victims. They would take care of sending these donations to Caritas who would take care of distributing them in Cagayan de Oro.
I think this’ the first time that I’ve been to this seminary. The place is so peaceful, they have gardens for meditation, relaxation, a big chapel, aviary, etc. When you’re here you would want to enter the seminary and become a priest.
This fellow greeted me as I entered the main building
The chapel’s stained glass door
This chapel is not open to the public according to one of the guys there. But I was allowed to enter. It was so serene, I only heard the birds. I knelt down, prayed and made three wishes.
An excerpt from the Helen Steiner Rice book:
…God, give me strength for my stumblng feet
As I battle the crowd on life’s busy street….
