The Roman Pool - Oh My Buhay

The Roman Pool

On our way out to take the shuttle going to the Visitor Information building, there’s no other way but to pass through this over-the-top indoor pool officially called by the Hearst family as The Roman Pool. It’s the only part of the gymnasium that was completed.

Indoor pool Hearst Castle- oh my buhay

The place looked magnificent but at the same time it felt creepy.

There’s a shallow alcove, and the heated pool is 10 ft. deep and holds 205,000 gallons of water.

Hearst must have had tons of money to think of something like this. This is just pure extravagance. According to their literature, this pool was rarely used because Mr. Hearst’s guests liked the Neptune pool better.
