We have become too learned and powerful that we now ignore the basic teachings of the church. Our powers corrupt us in a way that we feel we are indestructible and untouchable.
We may not personally believe in all the teachings of the church but even without any religion, our sense of goodness should tell us “thou shall not kill”. We are born with conscience. We feel it when we do something wrong. Deep within us, we feel what is right and what is wrong. Unfortunately, our aspirations, greed, carnal desires, hunger for power, drowns this conscience. Our minds are now screwed. We forget the common good. We think we are acting for them but the reality is, we are only acting from our own wrong beliefs and misguided insights.

We feel we are God. We feel we have the power to decide who lives and who dies.

I am appalled at how the new leaders of congress do not honor our country’s commitments in international treaties. During the time of GMA, we were among the 109 countries that approved the Covenant on Civil and Political Rights which ratified the moratorium on executions with an end view of abolishing the death penalty.

Why kill?
Would it cleanse our society of bad people?
How sure are you that the person you will send to the gallows is guilty beyond reasonable doubt? Or is it based on maybe he was the one who killed him, eh sino pa nga ba, siya na SIGURO!”

Who investigated the crime? Do we have 100% competent investigators who draw their conclusions from their own screwed haka-haka and not on facts. Who are the witnesses? Did they see it as it happened or they think they saw what happened? BAKA siya ang pumatay!

There are thousands of miscarriages of justice. How many poor people are languishing in jail because they don’t have access to competent lawyers? Their lives are wasted because someone mistook them as the culprit. Example: He was walking home when all of a sudden a dead body was thrown on the roadside while he was walking. He stopped to look then all of a sudden a tricycle passed by and saw him. Mga bobo yung nasa tricycle at may inggit pa sa kanya yun. Dinagdagan pa ang istorya. The next they, he was arrested because he was the person seen in the crime scene.

A 16 year old boy was standing when his friends started running. One of them slammed on him, touched his arm then started running away. People saw his shirt and arm with blood. A bloodied knife was found a few inches from where he was standing at. He was thrown to jail as the number one suspect in killing another teen. Stabbed twice in the chest. Case closed. Sya na nga!

She visited her boyfriend apartment to confront him regarding another girl. They had an argument where neighbors heard their loud voices. She left, leaving the door open. Two guys entered the apartment and robbed the boyfriend, and killed him when he tried to fight them off. Last person seen in the vicinity? She. Then she must have killed him.

A town mate’s young and pretty daughter has been in jail for more than 20 years. Well, she’s no longer young now. She met up with her boyfriend in Cubao one unfortunate afternoon. She boarded a jeepney alone. Her boyfriend never reached home. His body was never found. She was the last person seen with him. Did she kill him?

Let’s reverse the situation. He went out on a date but ended in a verbal fight which many have heard because they were in Chowking. The girlfriend went missing, she didn’t come home that night and the following days. Her body was found in a grassy area. She was raped and killed. Last person seen with her? Her boyfriend. Did he kill him?

I can cite hundreds of examples here and abroad.

The lawmen are proposing that the following be meted with death:
Meron bang minimum quantity? 100 Fake na CD bitay.

2. TREASON—– When President Duterte was in Beijing, he personally and publicly, asked the Vice Premier to give him $5B from the billions of dollars the US allegedly owed China. According to a former top government official of our country, what Pres. Duterte did was treason.
So paano? Bibitayin ba natin si presidente?

3. Kidnapping —- this is a serious crime. Isabel, Villegas at Dumlao.

5. SERIOUS ILLEGAL DETENTION —- Janet Napoles was sentenced to 40 yeas in prison because she allegedly held captive her cousin and assistant. I don’t know both of them personally but hindi ba overkill naman yung 40 years in prison?

Pagkinausap mo, their comprehension and clarity of thoughts are lacking.

7. QUALIFIED BRIBERY —- dapat very specific ang definition nito. I saw the video grab showing the accused in a hotel carrying a bag supposely containing cash.
We should no longer be very friendly because we don’t know what people are up to. Men, don’t offer to carry women’s bags. YOu don’t know what’s inside that.

8. PLANTING OF EVIDENCE — Conviction must depend on a 100 % full proof investigation and presentatiion of facts and evidence. Pero they can always say they didn’t do it.

Other crimes included in the list are:
9. CARNAPPING –
10. DESTRUCTIVE ARSON –
11. IMPORTATION, DISTRIBUTION, PRODUCTION OF ILLEGAL DRUGS
12. PARRICIDE —
Thou shall not kill.
