My prayers were answered. It stopped raining at 5 pm but I did not go to Southland Mall anymore. I just got ready for home.
As usual, my sister and I were teary eyed when we separated at the airport. She wanted to get in and wait till my boarding, but I just told them to drop me-off at the entrance. They have work the next day.
Flight PR105’s take-off was delayed by an hour because it flew straight to Manila instead of via Honolulu. I was pleased because I really needed to get home as early as possible.
I watched You’ve Got Mail starring Tom Hanks and Meg Ryan. I still enjoyed it although I have seen this movie at least 20 times in the past. I also watched 27 Dresses starring Katherine Heigl.
Thanks God the journey to Manila was smooth, the seat was comfortable and at last, my tv and audio were working just fine.
Pagpasok ko, the Presidential Security Guards took my camera. “Mam, bawal ho sa loob yan”. They have Malacanang official photographers and cameramen. This was taken after the meeting with Pnoy. We’re waiting for our vehicles.
Takbo na naman, I had to go home, take a nap, and off to the wake of President Fidel V. Ramos’ daughter Jo.
Although rain was strong, surprisingly and to my delight, traffic to Sucat, Paranaque was medium to light. We arrived shortly before 9 pm. Ang daming tao, at ang daming bulaklak, hanggang labas at parking.
There were hundreds of people who showed up on the last day of the wake. I saw former cabinet ministers who served during FVR’s time, friends of Jo like Gary Valenciano and wife Angeli Pangilinan. General Joe Magno and daughter Claire were there. Joe and FVR’s friendship dates back during their childhood days. Matibay ang pinagsamahan ika nga.
FVR introduced his aunt who was seated in front. I didn’t get her first name but her middle name is Marcos, and surname Valdez. She’s 93 years old and still looked good.
Freddie Jalasco and children were there too, of course, being married to Christy Ramos.
I also saw Former Department of Trade and Industry Secretary Peter Favila, Ana Periquet, Gen. Velasco, Cory Quirino, etc.
We bought coke and candies at a gas station before proceeding home. Kailangan daw dumaan muna sa tindahan o tumigil sa ibang lugar kung galing sa libing o burol. Wag dumiretso umuwi. Mga pamahiin.
I miss home, Manila Manila Manila…..
You are one lucky woman, traveling. I want to visit Manila in the future.
