It’s monday and I want to start this work week cheery or energetic.  But I am feeling the opposite,  I feel sleepy, gloomy, weepy, ewan, mukhang menopause na talaga.

One time  when I was in college,  I came home feeling sick.  I really got sick.  I was down and out for about a week.  My mom’s motherhood powers came into full gear.  She gathered ampalaya leaves, dikdik them and added salt, heated in the pan with pure coconut oil,  then plastered them on my belly using banana leaves.  She also rubbed some coconut oil on my forehead.  Then while she was seated on the edge of the bed,  she told me something that I would never forget  “Anak, mag-isip ka ng masasayang bagay”.

So everytime I am feeling  low,  those words would instantly enter my mind.

Today is one of those moody episodes and just like what my mom (+) advised me to do….  I want to surround myself with colors like flowers.  Maybe it would help.  Flowers always look happy, except when they are wilting (of course).
