I have donated a few thousand small trees to several barangays and individuals. The reality of it is that I don’t have the resources to monitor the life of each and every tree. What we are doing right now is to concentrate on this small piece of land that we are gradually turning into a mini forest. We have planted narra, buko, santol, guava, chico, langka, yakal, mahogany, mango, etc.
I don’t know what happened to the thousand of trees that I have given away the past 2 years. Some people have told me that they have been planted and are now growing. I fervently hope that those trees continue to grow and live even long after I have said adios to this world. And I also hope that people don’t cut them down.
