Antique Hunting in Monterey

July 10, 2020

My children don’t mind coming with me to antique stores.  Without any intention of influencing them, it’s just natural that they will develop an appreciation for antiques.   I noticed that when we enter antique shops, they themselves go around and look at stuff. They don’t mind coming with me to antique stores.  I see that they also enjoy looking and actually finding some of the items amusing.

There’s a big antique mall in Monterey.  I had been there twice in the past with Edmund but he just waited in the car.

Today (July 10) was my third time here, this time with Oyen, while Edmund waited in the car again.

The minute we entered the Antiques Mall in Monterey,  Oyen exclaimed “Oh nice, it’s big.”

We only had 30 minutes to shop or window shop because we arrived just before they close.  We came from Big Sur kasi and it was really not our intention to come here.  Edmund just made a bad turn and we happened to land in front of this mall.

I like coming here.

I controlled myself in buying this set of Limoges  porcelain plates.   I have no more cabinet space to keep them safe from breakage and from accidental thieves.
