First thing we checked upon arriving in California at 7 pm was Edmund the gardener’s flowers.
They looked as pretty as when we left them on June 23.

car, tempura, flowers

When we left 12 days ago there were tiny buds and now the huge hyndrageas are in full bloom.

I can eat two In n Out’s protein cheeseburger in one sitting.

I am not sure if I can keep my weight in check by eating this a few times a week.   It’s so delicious.

Every time I see a topdown car I crane my neck to look and take a second, third look. Nakakaaliw tingnan, it’s so cool- 70s vibe.

I went with Edmund to Homedepot,  While he was looking for some gardening supplies,  I spotted this big cream pot.  I couldn’t get my eyes off it.  I tried to bring it down from the rack but it was so heavy,  I couldn’t even move it by an inch.  Sobrang bigat.

d  We went to another gardening store to look at big pots.   I was surprised to find the shelves and racks almost empty.  The 50+ year-old store had been sold to another company.  The original owners unloaded all their business holdings in Northern and Southern California.  Their decision was triggered bynthe prolonged pandemic.

Bong’s Toyota Prius needed repair and the quotation was astronomical.  The repair costs would be 30% of the car’s resale value so he decided to just trade it in for a brand-new Toyota Camry.

The plush red leather upholstery is so luxurious and fancy.

I opened the souvenir items I bought from our roadtrip.  This one’s from Old Mission Santa Barbara.

I hang this tiny bell beside the front door.  I have never heard it ring even once even if the wind was strong,  I should’ve bought a bigger bell.

No more food to cook.  We only have the all-time favorite Spam,  and shrimps tempura.
