There are so many new terminologies nowadays and  I learned something new yesterday.

I interviewed a young lady applying for a job as showroom receptionist.

I always included personal questions  during job interviews like where are your parents?  What do they do?  Where are your siblings?  How many are you in the house?

When I asked about her siblings,  the numbers didn’t tally.  Then she said “we’re a blended family”.  Apparently,  her parents are separated,  she has 2 siblings from this union.  Then her mother has a common law husband who has 3 children from his first wife.  And then her mother and this guy have their own two children.  And they all live in the same house.   She described it perfectly,  blended family.
