I went back to the Cartier service center two days ago to pick up the two old watches I brought there last week for battery replacement. There was nothing wrong with the LM Cougar except for one missing tiny stone that I didn’t know fell off. I heaved a sigh of relief when they confirmed that it just needed a new battery. I paid P650 for the battery that is expected to last for a year and a few months only. Since I don’t wear this watch, I have to remember to replace the battery next year otherwise baka masira.

The old Must Tank has a problem.

They informed me that the watch is not working and it needs repair. Cost? P39,485. Ouch! Remember two weeks ago the Longines was also diagnosed as needing general repair for P11,000 naman.

Cartier watch service quotation

This watch is always broken. I bought it 25 years ago in Singapore. I haven’t even worn it to this day. I bought it for Edmund but he only got to wear it maybe two times. When the dial got off it was sent to Geneva. I was able to claim it after 6 months. Then after a few years of not being used, I noticed that the whole case turned copper-like. It was supposed to be gold.
They told me, nag tarnish lang daw kasi hindi ginagamit. They cleaned it and it sparkled again.
Ngayon eto na naman. I decided not to have it repaired. I don’t want to spend forty thousand bucks for a watch that we don’t use and will most likely not use and lagi na lang syang sira. It’s not worth it.
