It’s welcome aboard again this time at flight Delta 208 from Narita to SFO.
The plane is a Boeing 767 which is a lot smaller than 747, the plane we rode in from Manila to Narita.
I was very nervous because one, we had bumpy ride from Manila, two, this plane is a lot smaller so it could be bumpier three, this is going to be a 9 hour flight.
I made 4 trips to the toilet before we took off. And no kidding, about 8 more during the flight. I was so nerbyos talaga. I asked the stewardess if the flight from SFO to Tokyo was bumpy and she gave me the scariest answer. “Aahha (with an American accent), very, very bad, it’s really cloudy there”.
Oh no! my heart beat faster. When I went back to my seat, I told Edmund we should just get off and leave the following day, maybe the weather would be better. Of course he said no.
All I could do was pray to the heavens. Natawag ko na si Our Lady of Manaoag, St. Jude, St. Joachim, St. Bartolome, St. John, Sta. Ursula, Our Lady of Peace and Good Voyage (Antipolo), St. Ignatius, at Mother of Perpetual Help pati na si Cherubim and Seraphim. Nag rosary na rin ako ng ilang beses.
Ewan ko ba, I travel a lot and have been around the world, pero beginning on September 11, THE sEPTEMBER 11? SOBRA na akong nerbyosa. Konting uga ng plane (Dyos ko, hindi na ko makikita na mga anak ko, hindi na ko aabot sa sementeryo!)
I was so full but I still ate, to entertain myself. We chose Japanese meal.
I fancied this teeny weeny toyo bottle
I thought, why are they providing us so much weapons of mass destruction? kala ko plastic na lang dapat? what if the guy from behind snapped and suddenly stabbed me with this tinidor? I was so praning on this day. Maybe because I lacked sleep. Hay naku.
hmm dessert
Rare occasion that I said no to a dessert.
Vanilla ice cream with strawberry syrup and fresh fruits. Waaa pero sobra na kong busog.
We’ve finally arrived in SFO, safe and sound, Thank you Lord
Now waiting outside for our sundo, Bong and Len.
