Happy Bday To Me 2011

I didn’t prepare any special activity for my 45th bday (less sales tax, vat, and memorial day sale discount).

We just drove to San Francisco, dined at Hog Island Oyster, walked around Market, went up the Coit Tower to get a good view of the city, and went to Lombard Road for the nth time.

We saw a man skating in the nude, as in talup na talup. Tatawing-tawing yung bird nya, ang ginaw ginaw pa mandin. Hindi kaya yun hulihin ng pulis?

It didn’t even cross my mind that I would receive some gifts. My family gave me gifts. And they’re all nice.

Eversince my fingers, our altar got burned, I stopped lighting real candles anymore. Our house almost got burned because of a candle in the altar.

I also received a notebook organizer.

We drove to SFO

He parked his car in front of us while waiting for his girlfriend. The owner said he bought this 3 years ago and new ones nowadays cost $200,000 depending on the model. He’s really fond of convertibles having owned 2 BMWs. Jag, etc. before this white beauty.

This Aston Martin was also a sight to see.

Cheese lovers, this is the place to be

This stall sells all kinds of fresh, organic mushrooms.

Fresh oysters are flown in from Canada, etc.

My daughter doesn’t eat oysters. We ordered the big tray 24 pieces of assorted kinds of oysters, $66 + tax. Hey, where’s the birthday girl? She’s the camera-in-charge.

This is the best clam chowder, no potatoes, no extenders. just Manila clams in all its goodness. $14/order + tax

I saw these beautiful cutleries made of ivory (kuno) from India at the Sur La Table inside the Market Place. I told my husband “I want to buy these, gift ko sa sarili ko”. Edmund replied “ang dami mo ng gift sa sarili, 2 na bag mo”. “Eh ngayon talaga ang bday ko.”
