Going to Mass & Homily

When you have grown-up children, same schedules are getting more difficult to come by. My son, if not in school, if not playing basketball, if not hanging-out with classmates and friends, is hanging-out with his girlfriend.

This is my son with Jill. I took this photo while they were about to go attend a friend’s birthday party. They’re both 21.

Many times his schedule doesn’t match ours so lately we’ve been attending masses without him. Tomorrow is their 9th monthserry. I told him we’ll hear mass first before he goes to Jill. He said okay.

Last week, my daughter had midterm exams so it was only Edmund and I who went to church.

The homily was centered around the RH bill. The priest got carried away and said many things that Edmund and I did not agree. However, we understand where the church is coming from and we do respect their views. I wish I had pen and paper so I could remember everything he discussed.

He said big businesses are behind RH bill, that condom is made of plastic, and plastic is a by product of oil, and oil is a billion business. He also said we are just being tested, if we approve the RH, next would be divorce, then same sex marriage, then euthanasia.
