Media launch of Raymond Lauchengco’s anniversary concert

A couple of days ago, I received an invitation from Mia R. Lauchengco @heymiarocha for the media launch of Raymond Lauchengco’s 40th anniversary concert dubbed Just Got Lucky. He was one of the hottest teen idols in the 80s. Luckily, my calendar was free for lunch on October 2, 2024. Aha, the venue is East Ocean Palace, the same restaurant where we were supposed to attend the 70th birthday dinner Benjie last September 15, but we didn’t find a parking space. I’ve learned my lesson: I must bring a driver. And I did.

The green dress I thought of wearing for this event couldn’t fit my bulging stomach so I had a last- minute replacement. This blue cotton dress I recently purchased at Zara on the ground floor of Stoneridge Shopping Mall in Pleasanton was a last minute choice. I haven’t worn it and it proved to be comfy. Parang maternity dress.

I rarely attend events like these, and I was happy to come to this lunch. I met some friendly people such as Kathy Balmores, Rose, Mia, Rich Henares, Girlie Rodis, TJ, etc.

Raymond is multi-talented. Aside from singing, he is an actor, sculptor, painter, photographer. He said life is too short to accomplish all your dreams, we just have to pick which one to focus on.

Raymond Lauchengco has dozens of hit songs attached to his name. His first single was composed by George Canseco, the Filipino musical genius.
Here’s a music video I borrowed from YouTube.

Raymond promises to give us a fun concert on November 23.   I can’t wait to watch.  I’ll bring my husband along.
