Medical City ‘ san ka?

I accompanied Julienne for her check-up at the Medical City last wednesday morning.
Guards have tiny stickers for every person that enters. They even ask “Miss san kayo”? This is beyond my comprehension, what are the stickers for? To identify you as a visitor? a patient? What?

And why do we have to divulge to the security guards saan kami pupunta? Hellloooooo, Medical City is a hospital and people go in and out every minute. What’s the purpose of asking them where they are going? St. Luke’s Hospital doesn’t ask. Cardinal Santos’ guards help me get off my car and open the door for me and say good morning mam, but they have never intruded in my privacy by asking “saan kayo pupunta”. Bakit kailangan pang tanungin ng mga gwardya? Eh kung isagot ko “kasi nadito po ako dahil pupunta ako sa obstetrician-gynecologists ko para kalikutin ang aking ovary. Eh ano ngayon”?
Eh guard, pupunta ako kasi nagdurugo ang aking mga hemorrhoids ipa pa silip ko kay Doctor at ipasusukat ko na rin kung gaano kalaki na sila. Eh guard, tila nagme menopause na ko kasi irregular na menstruation ko kaya siguro nagbi-bleeding ako ano? Ano sa tingin mo guard. Nadyan kaya si doctora?

Hospitals asking visitors at the entrance where they are going is like shopping malls asking their clientele why they are entering the mall, ano gagawin nila dun? Miss, bakit ka papasok sa loob ng Rustan’s ano gagawin mo? Bibili ka ba , o mag u usyoso ka lang o mang-uumit ka ba? O terrorist ka ba? O ano? Magsabi ka ng totoo hwag kang magsinungaling, bakit ka nga nadito sa mall? Aminin mo holdupper ka?
