He loves to watch Baby Shark, from the South Korean educational cartoon brand Pinkfong. He enjoys watching live ocean creatures on tv. His parents have taken him twice to the Manila Bay aquarium in Roxas Blvd. And last month, they stayed in a hotel room with live fish hovering behind the bed. There was a real aquarium in the room.
Coming to California with Theo for a short holiday, at the top of our list of things to do was to bring Theo to the Monterey Bay Aquarium although he had been there before in January 2024 when he was one and a half years old.
June 7, 2025, Saturday, Monterey Bay Aquarium with Theo, Nyke, Wowo, and Wowa
For this visit, I purchased our entrance tickets online two days in advance @ $65 per adult and Theo needed a ticket too but it was free.
We avoided the wave of people entering the aquarium at opening time but still, there were just too many people inside this tourist magnet. It was not a good place to bring little kids because they could easily get lost, and two, covid is still very much around. In fact my husband had caught it days before our departure for the US, when he went to renew his senior card at the village clubhouse.
We do what we must do so here we were at the Manila Bay Aquarium. No sharks, no dolphins, no penguins, no live whale shows but they have a collection of under water creatures good enough to amaze little Theo.
