New Year’s Eve at Caesars Palace

December 31, 2019, 11:35 pm to 12:20 am

After dinner, we went out of the Caesars Palace but instead of going to The Strip, we just stayed in front of Hell’s Kitchen to wait for the fireworks display at midnight.
Last year we walked far and stood for at least two hours in the middle of Las Vegas Boulevard in freezing temperature to welcome the New Year. This time, we didn’t want to make that sacrifice anymore. Ang ginaw-ginaw last year, it was negative 2 degrees. This time, we made the right decision of just staying near the hotel’s entrance where we had a clear view of the fireworks display. Hindi pa masyadong maginaw. My children also thought it was not safe to stay right in the middle of The Strip where thousands of people would be. Although last year there were hundreds of policemen, still, it would be better just to be more cautious.

This was Mr & Mrs Yee’s fourth New Year countdown in Las Vegas, and Oyen and Nyke’s third.
The fireworks display in Vegas is not extraordinary. What makes the countdown special is the feeling that we are in Vegas. Hundreds of thousands of people come here to celebrate with family, friends, loved ones. Just to enjoy and appreciate life itself.
