I was surprised to see so many shops in this tiny Dutch village. At first glance, I thought I would end up shopping to the max but as I explored the stores, many carry made in China souvenir items. There’s nothing wrong with that. China has dominated the world of manufactured goods and there’s no escaping the reality that majority of the things around us come from China. And, and, and, including the nasty virus.

These are pretty but they’re from the seavaders.

Almost all of these ceramic and porcelain wares are from the bff of our president.

Wow, Philippine flag

I went inside the souvenir shop to investigate if it’s owned by a Filipino.  Parang hindi.

It’s so nice to see our flag given prominence in another country.   Pag-uwi ko I will hang a Philippine flag at our gate.

I try to avoid buying made in China souvenir items, decors, homewares, leathergoods, fashion, personal care products, etc. as much as possible.

For china I don’t buy China.  Gets?

Oh these tea cups and saucers are charming in this photo but not in actual.  Their age showed.

Most shops sell items that are tourist-friendly,  easy to pack and carry.

I’ve seen many nice items but I wasn’t yet in the mood to shop. This is just our first leg and I want to reserve the cargo space for something big and special.

I used to love gilded European decors. Well I still do except that my children might not like living in a house that looks like a museum or gallery so I stopped buying.
