The out-of-town wedding of Attorney Leo and Attorney Kat was held in Hamilo Coast in Batangas.
The ceremony was at 2 pm and so as not to be late for the ceremony, we booked a room at the Pico Sands Hotel inside Hamilo Coast. We swung by Tagaytay because we haven’t been to our farm for a long time. Medyo naligaw pa kami kaya we got to Hamilo Coast past sunset.
We almost collided head on with a van because Edmund was looking at Google Map on his phone. I screamed. Nakita daw nya yung van kaya kinabig nya manubela. Eh bangin yung right side. Buti hindi kami nahulog.
It was my daughter who booked us a room. She paid almost P20,000 for the two nights. The room was supposed to have a view of the lagoon but we didn’t see the lagoon. It was covered with big trees.
I requested for a refund because the mountain or garden view is cheaper than a lagoon view rooms but I only saw the courtyard and a bit of the mountain. So far, no decision yet if they will give me a refund or not.
The room has two queen-sized beds that could fit four people. It’s very basic, but comfortable.
I slept straight on the first night. It was mainly due to exhaustion. I could hear the noisy aircon and water dripping somewhere pero super pagod talaga ako I didn’t bother to stand up to check where the water was coming from. That morning, aircon technicians came to fix the aircon in our room.
They have a restaurant on the ground floor that needs sound absorbent materials like draperies or seat cushion because it’s noisy. I could hear every kling klang of utensils, plates. I found the sound of objects and humans obtrusive. It needs sound proofing and acoustic treatment.
The staff at Pico Sands were efficient and accommodating. Medyo luma na yung hotel pero ganyan talaga, madaling maluma ang hotels, kahit nga bahay and offices namin, ang bilis maluma.
