Liza Lao and I met yesterday afternoon in UCC Corinthian Hills for a tete-a-tete which extended up to 7 pm.
She was already there when I arrived at 3:50 pm. Remember? we bumped into each other two weeks ago at Kimpura Japanese Restaurant in Greenhills and agreed to meet. So here we are, talking about our families, relaltives and ourselves.
It’s been 20 years since the last time Liza and I spent time together. We drifted apart when our daughters drifted apart.
But yesterday, we were still giggling as if no time has passed.

She likes taking pictures of food, we all are, hello facebook. I told her our facebook friends would notice that we have the same food photos. She wanted to take my picture but I didn’t like because I felt so tired and thought maybe I would look horrible in the photo. I later regretted it I should have asked the waitress to take our photo together.

Before we ordered, we argued first who would be allowed to pay. I would like to be the host today but she insisted, so I gave in. I would be the taya next time.

As usual I ordered the Seafood Salad

At 4 pm, we both haven’t had lunch and she said she eats a lot, but when I ordered the salad, she changed her mind and just ordered a simple beef sandwich. Because she was so engrossed with our conversation, she hardly touched her sandwich.
I ate her potato chips.

We split this delicious mango crepe with mango ice cream.

We promised that we would see each other more often. Liza travels abroad a lot with her husband Sonny and their children.
I travel a lot, traversing EDSA, C5, Ortigas Avenue and Cainta back and forth. See you again soon Liza, have a great trip to HK-Chingkiang-HK-Wilin?China-HK-Manila-Shanghai-Manila-Vancouver-Manila.
