We checked in at Station House Inn

July 15, 2021

Same as the difficulty of booking a hotel in Solvang, I also had trouble finding a hotel in South Lake Tahoe to accommodate us for the weekend. I planned too late. never expected that South Lake Tahoe would be this busy. I thought their peak was during the winter time, yun pala basta weekend they are packed, winter, spring summer, or fall.

Mochi would be traveling with us and there were only a few hotels that welcome pets, and for a fee. We also didn’t want to stay in a casino hotel. We preferred to stay in a low rise building.

Our bedroom has only one queen-sized bed and we paid extra for a twin bed for Nyke.
Cozy bedroom with a warm yellow accent wall and comfortable bed setup.

We always brought Mochi’s own bed or blanket every time we went out of town with her.

I picked Station House Inn also because of its location.

At more than $400++ a night, I was expecting a better deal but Lake Tahoe is a popular tourist destination and downtown hotels are pricey. Station House Inn has a very good location, a few blocks to the main street and  it’s also a short walk to the beach that probably also added to its price boost due to its prime location.
