A short drive from Nami Island is a charming tourist spot called Petite France in Gapyeong n Gyeonggi province, South Korea. It’s situated high up on a snowy hill overlooking the Cheongpyeong lake. Although I didn’t think the architecture was successful in creating French look and ambiance, I appreciated very much the owner’s efforts and desire to create a pretty place to entertain local and foreign visitors alike.
We were given by the tour guide 45 minutes to explore this Korean tele-novela filming site.
The 34 guest houses are available to tourists who want to stay here longer.
The main building at the center of the property has an extensive display of the most expensive porcelain figurines. I didn’t pay attention though if some of the figurines were manufactured by Meissen in Dresden or by Lladro.
Oyen said the owner and I have something in common, we both like chickens.
We were standing on a very slippery block ice, it was a little scary.
The view looks a little bit like Switzerland.
There were three food stalls in the property. My son would never pass up trying some of their stuff.
There was a puppet show on the second floor of their coffee shop and a few fiberglass statues of The Little Prince.
