First day in Tokyo

For fear of being late, I ended up not sleeping at all. I went to bed at 1 am, dosed off at 4:45 am, my alarm set off at 5 am. I was at the airport before 7. Since it’s a special flight, everything had been pre-arranged including my boarding pass, free airport tax, lounge pass, etc.
There was a pre-departure ceremony which some of us did not attend, instead we chose to eat lugaw at the Philippine Airlines Mabuhay lounge

It was a four hour flight to Tokyo. My seatmate was
Ambassador Alfredo Yao, owner of Zesto, Zest Air, Philippine Business Bank, etc. Pnoy didn’t say hi to the business group accompanying him in the plane, may jet lag daw.

Japan is one hour ahead. We arrived at the Imperial Hotel at 3pm but rooms were not ready. Ambassador William Co was
telling me housekeeping in Japanese hotels are really slow because they lack the manpower. They should hire more staff from the Philippines.

Imperial Hotel is big that one could get lost. My room is good enough for one person but since it’s not cheap, I expected something better.

We had the rest of the day free, some went to church, some went to dinner. I went to the Mazda office and showroom, then walked around Ginza.
I took a lot of photos but sadly, I may have to wait till I
get home before I could post them.

My free phone from Nokia doesn’t work here.
Yen, have a safe trip to Thailand with Daddy.
Btw, did shoti go to the derma today?
