I pray a lot, but not openly, not loudly. I just pray within me. In my thoughts.
That’s already deep prayer. Many saints talked about interior prayer—prayer without many words. God hears thoughts just as clearly as spoken words.
I have stopped joining the Rosary crusades. I do pray the Rosary but I don’t get to finish the whole round. The rhythm and repetition makes me fall asleep right away.
I pray one liners na lang, like “In God we trust.” “Keep us safe, Lord.” “Thank you, Lord.”
Bilib ako dun sa 1,000 rosaries daw a day. How is that even humanly possible? Mabuti pa I will just buy 1,000 rosaries to give away. Ay dami. 100 pieces na lang. An act of charity is prayer made visible. My family and I help many people in need. Just small acts of charity. I think it’s better than just pronouncing the words. It’s putting compassion, kindness, generosity in motion. I think HUKAB, Blessing of Angels, and Tree Movement, are all prayers in motion.
My usual prayer requests syempre are all about my family. Keep my kids healthy and safe, And ngayon nadagdag si Theo and Dylan.
Lately, what I desire most is guidance and peace of mind.
And my family needs protection from ill-meaning people. I’ve learned that many people don’t even know that they are bad, so ingat tayo. Many don’t know that what they are doing can hurt other innocent people enormously. They don’t realize that.
I just want to be a good person. I think being a good person can be very broad. To narrow it down, a good starting point is HUMILITY. Be humble. Keep your feet pressed firmly on the ground.
And everything will follow.
This virtue has the capacity to expand its rays around it and give rise to other virtues.
When a person is humble, he becomes kind, compassionate, understanding, empathetic, etc.
