I have always wanted to publish something on the web.  Twelve years ago,  I registered many domain names but never got to put any content.  Even if I had people helping me,  it was different to start something that’s “hatinggabi” to me.  I didn’t know how to operate a computer then.  I bought a laptop,  threw up after an hour of trying to learn it, so I dumped it on my husband’s table.  He ended up wearing eyeglasses after several months of using the laptop.

My son and teen daughter taught me how to email.  But that’s just about it.

Last year,  I registered Ohmybuhay.com but never got to start writing.  I didn’t even know how to log-in.  I simply relied on my staff Abby to help me.  Last month,  my daughter took time out to make a very simple guide so I could learn how to post.  After a few days,  she asked if I have already learned.   Out of embarrassment and love for my daughter,  I brought her guide to my office and with much fear and hesitation,  I started following her guide, key by key, word for word.  And here I am, spending time typing my thoughts and pouring my heart and soul to a … computer?

I am definitely making some progress.  Two weeks ago,  I have been able to send an email to my staff  with my memo attached with the help of my son.  I have been uploading photos since Holy Week.  I think I am so far 20% computer literate.

There are still lots to learn.  Whenever I see www,  I still think of world war.

I still cannot understand why they call Ohmybuhay as a blog.  It’s not,  it’s my diary?  living journal?  of course alangan naman patay na ako mag da diary pa.
