This is the continuation of my thoughts about TL. Some more examples:
5. Lizzy and Mike met in high school, they became inseparable ever since. They graduated from college, found jobs, and still, they have each other. They never dated any one. First boyfriend, first girlfriend, first love, true love agad, hindi daw puppy love.
They tied the knot after 10 years. Two years later, they separated ways. So, mali ba ang relationship nila? Nagkasawaan na? Hindi true love yun.
6. He is one of Philippines’ respected journalist. Married a beautiful socialite. After 35 years of marriage, she left him, for another woman. Yes, you heard me, for another woman. He became recluse and depressed. After a year, he resurfaced and started going out with hired guns. I mean, gorgeous ladies for P2,500 professional fee to accompany him to social gatherings. He would bring along two at least, one on his left, one on his right. Why? because that’s his ridiculous way of coping from losing his one true love. According to his best friend. But he obviously not his wife’s true love. Or maybe he’s just trying to show people he is still attractive as a man.
7. Leonard’s childhood crush and one love is Carol. He pursued her till college but she never really liked him. Carol married a college classmate, but he died of cancer at the age of 32 leaving Carol and 3 young daughters behind. Leonard, who never courted anyone and was still single, wasted no time in pursuing her again criss crossing the globe to woo her. His friends and family were concerned but he said he truly loved her wth all his heart. Carol was and still is his one true love.
Now, Leonard deserves a trophy for being a true blue dedicated husband and father. Washing clothes, doing dishes, driving kids to and from school and gimmicks, driving his wife to and from her work. In between, he cleans their house, throw garbage, cooks meals, learn new recipes, etc. During his rest time, he irons clothes. He now has a facebok account and spends some time connecting with high school mates. Carol scolded him, “kaya hindi mo matapos yang mga pina-plantsa mo, facebook ka ng facebook”. True love indeed.
