I wish no one gets sick

March 14, 2019

My daughter asked me to visit Mrs. Ramos at the Makati Med on her behalf because she was tied up with a lot of things. My schedule was also tight but I managed to go to Makati Med. I was feeling dizzy from hunger when I entered the lobby so I looked for food first otherwise instead of being a visitor, I might end up being the patient.
I ate soup and garlic bread at a cafe near the elevator.

Mrs. Ramos is the 96-year-old mom of Atty. Marievic and lola of Atty. Leo Anonuevo. She is a strong lady and has a gregarious personality and it could be among the reasons why she has a long life. I hope she lives for many more years.

I knocked several times at her hospital room but no answer. I didn’t want to intrude so I just left the fruit basket at the nurse station.

I saw an old woman, most likely in her 90s, on a wheelchair being pushed by probably his son, with an old man walking behind him, could be the husband.
Before they wheeled her back into her room, the younger guy requested for a selfie and group photo. I thought that was touching. Buti ngayon lahat tayo merong camera. We take photos of every bit of movement and we capture every waking moment of our loved ones.

Visiting hospitals make me wish that I have the superpowers to cure every sick person. I wish no gets sick, no one experience pain. While I was waiting for the elevator door to open, there was a woman standing beside me and sobbing. I wanted to ask why but I wasn’t prepared to help her. So I just wished for her problem to go away.

All who are reading this blog post, I sincerely wish you the very best of health.
