Like & Share are the new status symbol

My nephew Owel is trying to fix oh my buhay’s indexing. He’s trying to help me find out what went wrong a few months ago when my site keeps on crashing which caused its tremendous drop in website rating. But the process erased all the Likes.
When my staff Abby configured the wordpress settings, all the Likes and Shares were erased.
This has happened several times in the past one and a half years. When I told Owel, he said what’s more important now is the facebook LIKES.

But people look at the Likes, my sister Aileen does. One time she asked me, why there are very few likes.
lagi na-e-erased. Until someone is able to fix OMB correctly, then the likes most likely would disappear again.

I chanced upon a feature on TV, about today’s internet-based generation. The amount of time spent in front of the computer, using the internet, communicating with strangers and friends thru facebook. Based on the survey and interviews, the number of LIKES is now considered a status symbol. Paramihan ng likes sa facebook. And facebook fanatics measure their popularity among their friends based on the number of people that clicked like on their posts. So hindi na Hermes ang status symbol ngayon, LIKES na. So if no one clicks LIKE on your facebook posts, kawawa ka naman, wala kang status.

Kaya pala one time my sister asked me how come not many people click like. Una, all my likes get erased every now and then. My anger post on a bank officer garnered more than 200 likes and share but they got erased.

I think it’s very easy to click Like on facebook. Owel just recently installed the facebook plug in on ohmybuhay 3 weeks ago and so far it has less than a hundred likes. OMB has very few FB friends as it hasn’t add many friends yet.
So kawawa naman pala ako, kokonti pa lang ang FB friends ng OMB who like me.
If this is the new status symbol, wa pa akong status, wa pa akong symbol.
