Our favorite love story must be that of our own. Ours. What makes it interesting is that it’s a continuing story about life, love, relationship, devotion, challenges and commitment. It’s not a Romeo and Juliet, but it’s about life itself. Love for your spouse, love for your self. Love for your family. Love for your life, together.

Edmund and I’s love story should be an interesting read if only I could print every detail. It’s one that measures patience to the max, hurt, love. and feelings of resignation. Despite the occasional walls that sometimes divide us, there’s an abundance of hope, belief, faith and true love that springs eternal and always saves the day.

He first saw me at the cemented stairs of the UST College of Commerce building, one summer day, three decades ago. While I was going up the stairs, looking so poised and regal in a blue denim flowing dress with a scarf around the neckline, this tall and lanky guy was mesmerized at how pretty I was.

It was love at first sight maybe on his part. I didn’t see or notice him.

Favorite Love Story

6.5 years + 32 years later as a married couple, we now have our own large staircase at home. Everyday, I go up and down but he doesn’t notice me anymore.

Happy anniversary Mr. Yee.
