Novy Smichov Shopping Center

Today is a free day meaning there is no scheduled group tour.
After breakfast, we are staying in the room just resting. We want no more long walks. Catch up on sleep and rest are what we want to do today.

Our tour mates have more energy, they are going back to Old Town Square and Charles Bridge. Yesterday kasi masyadong maulan, ang hirap maglakad-lakad while holding an umbrella up. Mr. & Mrs. Yee have no more desire to go back to the old town center, low bat na, sila gusto pa maglakad, not surprisingly because they are a lot younger. Kami ang pinaka gurang dito.

Edmund discovers a shopping mall some 8-minute walk from the hotel.

Sarap maglakad, safe, cold, although meron konting ambon.

Novy Smichov

Novy Smichov Shopping Centre is outside the tourist area but it is accessible by Metro Line B, bus, or taxi.

There’s an H&M across the street from the mall.

We spent a few hours here sitting at Starbucks cafe, watching the locals go by, observing families, young lovers, little children, and babies. There were very few Asians here, us not counted, and we only saw two black people. They were two fabulous-looking women who were wearing high heels and they didn’t look like locals. Ang tingin ko they’re here to attend a business meeting.
