What’s happening around the world worries not only me. I am sure every civilized and peace-loving person is deeply affected. We want peace and harmony not only inside our homes, office, country, but also in the world we share with other nations. We want to enjoy freedom and safety when we travel to visit friends and relatives on the other side of the world. We want to marvel at the beauty of man-made architecture and nature’s awesomeness that God has gifted us. We want economic growth, financial freedom, ease of trade, freedom of both sea and air navigation. Simply put, we want freedom.

There are people who don’t share our same views, religion, principles, objectives, life’s goals. That’s natural. Even among families, many couples fight, they curse each other, children fight. Companies back-stab their competitors, customers bully and destroy businesses’ reputation, some businesses try to cheat customers. I know of many businessmen who are so shrewd and greedy they make my stomach churn. Can’t we not stop being difficult people and instead try to be better persons and a joy to our fellow citizens every single day? Is it difficult to live in peaceful-harmony with our surroundings?

On a national level, our country is fragmented. It deals with our own citizens killing soldiers and innocent Filipinos and foreign visitors.

There are regional fighting in most parts of the world.
If you look at the world map and plot which countries are currently fighting wars against insurgents and separatists, there are many.

We are also at war with ordinary criminals, organized crimes, climate change, cancer, new and more virulent viruses. Where’s peace of mind here?

The recent bombings, shootings, hostage-takings, downing of the Russian airplane, are like piecemeal World War. The continuing threat to destroy Washington DC, the Vatican, Manhattan, and other symbols of progress and history, are really worrisome. Why the Vatican? They never criticized the Muslims. We embrace our peace-loving Muslim brothers.

Unlike hundreds of years ago when countries fought against each other, the war now is different. We now live in a world that’s fighting a war against a group of human beings, not a particular country, who’s mission is to sow fear, terror and inflict the most damage to the civilized nations and kill innocent people. Their ideologies make mention about God. But I thought God is love, compassion, kindness, understanding, devotion, and peace.

  1. Ms Annie.. It’s true, that God is love, compassion, kindness, understanding, devotion and peace..

But when Man has come to learn about power, greed, hate, oppression and deception, he embraced what evil has to offer..

These are the very same things that the Devil wants to sow among mankind.. With all the modern technology that man has discovered through the years, he has deluded himself into thinking that HE IS GREATER THAN GOD… 🙁

Sadly, man has lost touch with the very essence of what COMPASSION, GOODNESS AND KINDNESS represents… 🙁

He has forgotten what it’s like to be HUMAN… He has forgotten WHO GOD IS… 🙁

      1. You’re most welcome, Ms Annie.. 😉 You look very pretty at the Bloogys awards night earlier.. 😉 Good luck and God bless.. 🙂
