Undas in Binangonan

I wished street lights were installed in strategic locations even for a day, November 1. It was pitch dark at the cemetery’s entrance

There was a big fire towards the hill where the mausoleums were. Some kids daw lighted the cogon grass. We were impressed by the swift arrival of two fire trucks which immediately extinguished the hillside fire.
I walked closer to assess the situation, it was good the breeze was blowing away from the lower area where thousands of tents were set up. Or else, baka magkagulo, mag stampede.

While I was standing and watching the fire, a woman smiled at me. She’s Tess Pons pala, a friend of my Kuya Ben. I was surprised when she told me she reads oh my buhay. Tess’ parents owned a big ice plant in Binangonan. She now lives in Malate, Manila where she and husband own a store selling Mercedez Benz’ spare parts. She travels back and forth to Australia where her daughter currently resides.
