Ford Cainta’s grand opening is at 4 pm tomorrow, exactly 24 hours from now kaya Edmund and I are in the taranta mood already.

1. Food? —- check…. I got two caterers, one French food and the other one Filipino cum ewan.
2. Lechon Cebu?— check—- hindi bagay sa French food? never mind, maraming mahilig sa lechon.
3. Ice cream—- check—-I bought a small freezer, will buy gallons and gallons tomorrow morning.

paper cups

Caterer has no ice cream cups daw so I bought na lang. Ang cute nito

wooden spoon

4. Emcee——– check—- no less than Johnny Litton will help me tomorrow.
5. Priest?—– check—- Monsignor Arnel Lagarejos will be there tomorrow. Oh my I forgot to remind him. If he doesn’t show up, I’ll sprinkle water na lang and pray, pareho na rin yun.
6. Entertainment # 1 ? check—- The #1 violinist Jay Cayuca is ready
7. Standby generator?—– check.
8. Eggs for Sta. Clara?—– naku this is very important and yet I wasn’t able to do..
I pray that it doesn’t rain tomorrow, please Lord.
9. Ribbon? check—– Medyo so so pero pwede na, Abby made it.
10. Scissors? wala pa.
11. Give-aways?…. check—– all wrapped and ready

Premium items

What’s in there? Secret.

Give-aways

12. Open Bar?—– check—– softdrinks, juices, red wine, white wine, black label, green label, blue label (?) sobrang mahal, etc. My friend Susing advised me the other day not to serve alcohol before and during the program or else guests would be too drunk to pay attention. Good advise.

Royal true orange

Para akong me sari-sari store
Oishi chips

13. Garbage bins?—- check—- sobrang mahal pala nito from Rustan’s almost 10,000 literally putting your money in the garbage

Garbage Bin Rustan's

14. Candles for the blessing ceremony? —- check—- I bought crystal shot glasses and tea lights so that the wax don’;t drip on the floors and carpets.

15. Concierto—– Jonathan Badon’s car is coding tomorrow and he lives somewhere in Fairview…. pano kaya, all our drivers would be running errands tomorrow.

16. My dress…. yan ang biggest problem, mukha akong buntis, I do not want people asking me that nagging question “buntis ka ba?”. On a last minute diet attempt, I skipped breakfast this morning, just this morning. I should have started ten months ago.

Julienne gave me a Gng. Bukid sandwich again for lunch today. She also fixed my celphone kasi parang sira, it doesn’t ring. Yun pala naka off ang volume. Bobo ko talaga.

What else am I forgetting? hmmmm, baskets full of coins and candies, filtered water, gallons of ice cream, fire extinguishers, hand paper towels, cash to pay for a lot of things, final guest list, parking attendants, etc.

Guests? I hate people who don’t acknowledge whether they have received the text or not, to say confirmed or regrets. They just don’t say a thing. Some would probably show up not finding their names on the guest list and then they would make tampo-tampo. Hay naku. I like Jollibee’s Tony Tan Caktiong, I emailed him and he replied right away. He couldn’t go because he’s out of the country. See, Tony was out of the country and yet he replied. Mabait talaga siya.

Any celebrity guest? Jericho Rosales promised that if we could give (he’s buying) him a black manual Ford Ranger pick-up, he would show up tomorrow. You see, there’s a very long line, waiting for the new Ford Ranger. Is Echo coming tomorrow?
