Most restaurants were already closed so we went to IN-N-OUT. As we stopped at the intersection near Lowes, I heard the sound of police patrol. I didn’t look, as it was already dark and we were turning left. I just told Edmund “naku, tayo ba yun?”
E——–“Hinde, wala tayong violation”.
We proceeded and turned left again, to the parking lots of IN & Out. There was a white sedan that seemed in a hurry. Then we heard patrol cars’ sirens blasting away, they were chasing a car. The sound became louder. We saw a black sedan with two police cars close behind. The driver was pretty good, he sped away and entered the freeway. As we watched nervously, a search helicopter hovered steadily right above us, with a very bright white search light following the black car. We didn’t know what happened after that. Edmund concluded that there could be more police cars waiting for the black car at the freeway’s next intersection. He was positive the guy wouldn’t be able to get away.
Edmund said it was the first time he’s seen a real car chase just like in the movies, complete with helicopter. I was too stunned to take pictures. The chase was also very fast. Imagine, we were just three seconds ahead of the chase. They were right behind us.
